- Washed Ginger: Cleaned thoroughly using high-pressure water to remove all soil and dirt, presenting a smooth, bright appearance. It is ready for direct retail sale but requires careful air-drying before shipment to prevent surface mold.
- Unwashed (Muddy) Ginger: Shipped with a light layer of dried farm soil intact. The natural soil layer acts as a protective barrier that seals in moisture, increases shelf life, and protects the rhizome during long-distance transit.
